Ask about renting a night or two on my Beautifully restored 1965 Allied Seawind 30 ft Ketch Sailing Vessel on a mooring! How romantic is that? You may even be able to crew on a sailboat ride if I need crew for a daysail?

THE VIEW SAYS IT ALL AT ARTISTS LOFT!! In the heart of Grand Marais, the Artists' Loft features new upgrades to both the interior and furnishings.

Watch the sailboats bob on soft summer days from your pillow!

On cold blustery fall and winter days, when the wind blows a gale from the north, the huge 1000 ft Lakers hug the North Shore like a baby moose under the winter legs of its mother! Sit and watch from the cozy, bright comfort of the Artists Loft while sipping your favorite hot beverage.

Located above the Superior Design Jewelry Studio, the Artists' Loft has been remodeled into a beautiful, elegant vacation rental. The kitchen is well stocked with high-end cookware, a fridge full of condiments, sauces, spices, and baking materials. No need to run to the store and spend $3o on ketchup and soy sauce. The kitchen will bring you back to the 50's, with our blue and black soda fountain tiles and vivid colors!

The master bedroom welcomes travelers with its antique bed and original art. Wake up to the most incredible view in town. It also features a cozy down comforter and a beautiful homemade quilt.

For additional guests, a second bedroom accomodates up to three.

High Season July 1 thru Oct 15th 225.00

December 11th thru Feb 25th

Low season Oct16th - December 10th Feb 26th thru End of June 195.00 per night

ASK about Non Summer month special rates at times!!!

Add 25.00 per night for each additional person up to a max occupancy of 5. Two night min stay or add a $30 cleaning fee for one night. Please ask for longer stay discounts. Any discounts will be deducted from your final total.

The Outback Garden and Deck

Master bedroom with view of harbor lighthouse from your pillow! In the summer, you will wake up to a sparkling view of the harbor, lighthouse, and old Coast Guard Station with sailboats gently drifting on thier moorings. In the winter wake up to a new coat of mirrored ice or steaming mist from the lakes's cooling waters. The master bedroom features a down comforter and a beautiful homemade quilt.

This full kitchen is appointed with all the neccesary tools for dreaming up your own gourmet meal. Or you can use it to prep for that outdoor barbeque in our gourgeous outdoor wildflower and sculpture garden with deck, Adirondack chairs and dining table.

Important Information about the Artists Loft: Before renting, please read this!

The Artists Loft offers a unique lodging experience due in part to it being the only unit we offer. As a result, I enforce a strict cancellation policy. When you book, a 50% down payment is required to hold the date. Two weeks prior to your stay the remainder of the balance will be charged. In exceptional instances, refunds may be granted at my discretion. Due to too many last minute cancellations and credit card chargbacks I have unfortunately been forced to implement this policy. Because this is a place people typically reserve far in advance, cancelling at the last moment means that others planning ahead may be unnecessarily denied the date that they wish. The Loft has a well deserved reputation as a desirable Grand Marais destination. We believe that once you stay with us, you will agree too.
