My wedding bands are pretty much street ready for everyday wear also. In creating unique artistic bands, I am stepping away from that crowd of commercial bands that scream "WEDDING BAND." My designs are perfect for when you are looking for something different than your average commercial wedding band.
Isle Royale Greenstone rings are made with genuine old stock Isle Royale greenstone, not mainland Michigan material. I have acquired old collections of these stones over the decades and use only island stones.
*A note on the stones: It was legal to take the stones up until just recently, when Isle Royale National Park implemented a law to stop the foolish destruction of the shoreline by overzealous collectors. It is sad this occurred as the stone cannot really be obtained in this manner anyway. The good stones are below the waters surface protected by the water from freezing and cracking! Also the stones must be worked out of the bedrock gently by Lake Superior’s water, a process that takes thousands of years.
